Chai Tea Shortbread

Black Chai Tea

These cookies have a classic crunchy shortbread taste with a spicy hint given by chai tea. 


  • 2 tablespoons of spiced chai tea
  • 2 cups of 00 flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of water

How to make chai tea shortbreads

In a food processor, mix the chai tea, flour and salt until the tea is ground into small pieces.

Add powdered sugar, vanilla, butter, water and until the dough is well mixed and formed.

Place dough on non-stick sheet roll into a cylinder 2 inches in diameter.

Let the dough cool for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cut the dough into 1/3 inch thick disks and place them on a baking dish with baking paper.

Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
