Rooibos is a beverage obtained by infusing the dried leaves of Aspalathus linearis, a South African shrub, belonging to the Fabaceae family and typical of the Cederberg region. Nothing to do with our Camellia Sinsens. The modest content of tannins and the absence of caffeine (theine) give rooibos a pleasant taste, slightly sweetish. Whereas in our Red (Black) tea we have a more or less accentuated presence of caffeine. We should not forget the fantastic properties of rooibos tea: this is in fact a real infusion of wellness, a gift of nature, an elixir of youth. Rooibos tea contains proteins, mineral salts and lots of vitamin C.
